Love God - Worship
Worship doesn't just happen on Sunday morning, but it's a great place to start, and loving God the way He intends us to is impossible without being a part of a local church body. Nags Head Church may be different from what you may be used to experiencing at church. Our Sunday morning gatherings reflect our belief that God loves it when we celebrate what He is doing in our lives and in our world. Freedom in worship, contemporary music, fresh coffee, a safe and clean nursery, an exciting kids church, teaching built on the truths of God and a sense of belonging all provide an opportunity to prepare our hearts for the next step.
Jesus said, "I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly."
Love Others - Ministry
Serving other followers of God in the local church is what we call ministry. God has gifted each of His followers to uniquely serve in ministry. In fact, at NHC we believe that there is nothing God has called us as a church to do for which He hasn't already gifted us. If there is a ministry in the church that needs to be met, God has already chosen somebody in our church to meet it. We've each been equipped by God with our spiritual gifts, our passions, our abilities, our personality, and our experience to be the church God wants us to be.
“Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are varieties of ministries and the same Lord. There are varieties of effects, but the same God who works all things in all persons. But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.”
(I Corinthians 12:4-7)
Ask anyone at NHC and they'll probably tell you that being a part of a Ministry Team is one of their favorite things about being a partner in our church. Serving others is fun; serving others together as a team is revolutionary. Every NHC Partner is encouraged to find his/her place to serve.

Reach the World - Mission
believe that every follower of God should be engaged in God's mission
for His Church of telling others about Him. We desire that
NHC be known as a church of hospitality and compassion, both locally and
around the world. But reaching the world begins at home, on the
Outer Banks, in our very own neighborhoods.
“(Jesus said) ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’”
Everything we do at NHC should bring us to a burning passion to share Jesus with our family, friends and neighbors. God desires nothing more than for those who don’t yet know Him to become His followers, and He wants to use you to accomplish His mission. The leaders of NHC are committed to equipping those in our church to be loving, generous and gracious people of God to those we live, play and work with.
And from the home, that mission then spreads into our community. From giving free school supplies to local elementary school students, hosting surf camps, feeding our public safety personnel and serving our local foster and adoptive families, serving as volunteers in our local schools, we are always ready and willing to do anything to reach our community for Jesus.
