NHC Missions Strategy

Global Missions

Nags Head Church values strong, ongoing partnerships with missionaries around the world—many of whom have deep and meaningful connections to our church family. We are passionate about seeing every church partner engage personally in these missions and encourage participation in at least one mission trip to one of our partner locations.

This hands-on involvement reflects our belief in the life-changing impact of witnessing God’s work firsthand across the globe.

Supporting missions is a cornerstone of how we honor God at Nags Head Church. Even during seasons of financial challenge, our commitment to missions remains a priority as we faithfully invest in spreading the Gospel and participating in God’s transforming work throughout the world.

Local Missions

At Nags Head Church, our mission starts right here at home. We are committed to sharing the love and message of Christ by serving our local community in practical and meaningful ways. Through community service projects, local outreach, and partnerships with community organizations, we seek to meet physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.

A key part of our local missions happens through our Connect Groups, where group members serve together on multiple mission projects each year, using their unique gifts to make a tangible impact in our community.

As a church, we also host several annual outreach efforts, including Serve Week, when we focus our efforts on serving our community, and Christmas Stop, a festive, three-day event in December where our church becomes a welcoming space for the community to celebrate Christmas. In addition, we support and serve our local first responders through a Patriot Day lunch and show appreciation for our lifeguards by providing a monthly dinner throughout the summer.

Our Mission Partners
NHC designates close to 20% or our annual budget towards missions.
We have mission partners in NC, France, South Asia, Honduras, Italy, and Ukraine. These missionaries are supported financially on a monthly basis and we have sent teams to serve with some of them.
