Nags Head Church Leadership
Nags Head Church is blessed to have a leadership team who are truly dedicated to Christ and accomplishing His will.
Nathanael Stevens has been with us since the fall of 2020. He grew up in rural eastern PA but moved to the Outer Banks from the Mon Valley area south of Pittsburgh. He met his wife Summer in Greek class at Dallas Seminary. They now have five precious and rambunctious kids.
As a family, they enjoy the beach, going for bike rides and walks, and general horsing around. Nathanael enjoys working on old cars, sailing, fishing, carpentry, and being outdoors.
Nathanael has an undergraduate degree in philosophy from St. John’s College, a masters in Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary, and a doctorate in ministry from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Ian is our new Family Pastor and moved from Clayton, NC along with his wife, daughter, and baby due in June! Ian graduated from Piedmont
International University with a Bachelor of Arts in Bible and from their seminary with a Master of Divinity in Pastoral Studies. He has served churches and rescue missions for six years in various roles including children’s ministry, youth ministry, college ministry, and homeless ministry.
Ian enjoys teaching the Bible, leading people in counseling, playing sports (especially basketball), the beach, and hunting birds.
Pastor of Partner Care
A member of our elder team since 1996, Tom and his wife Sandra have been Partners at NHC longer than anyone, attending since his childhood. Tom leads our Usher Team, our Partner Care team and teaches on Sundays several times a year. When he's not serving at NHC, Tom operates a drywall and painting business.
Tom and his wife, Sandra are the parents of four daughters and six grandchildren.
Andy has been on staff since 2001 and has recently transitioned from youth ministry to organizing our Mission Teams, coaching our Ministry Teams, and leading our Discipleship strategy.
Andy oversees our mission strategy of supporting and equipping church leaders in the nation of The Bahamas. Each year NHC sends multiple teams over to serve with local churches.
Andy and his college sweetheart, Misha, have been married for 30 plus years and love living on the Outer Banks. Misha and Andy have three children, one in is a senior in high school and twins in seventh grade. Andy is a foodie and enjoys cooking and eating out, and he loves to take his Jeep four-wheeling on the beach.
only is Burnie one of our elders but he is also our volunteer executive
pastor, Burnie oversees the administration of our staff and church
finances. Burnie also plays the bass guitar in the MilePost13 band.
While his service at NHC is as a volunteer, Burnie stays extremely busy with his business ventures.
Burnie and his wife, Roxanne commute from Chesapeake, VA every week where they spend much of their time hanging with their six grandsons.
Small Groups Pastor
is also our Connection Groups Coach. He oversees and encourages our
C-Groups to maintain a healthy atmosphere in which they can grow in
Ramon and his wife Rachel have three children. Ramon makes a killer black bean and corn salsa.
Luke has been on staff since May 2018. Luke is a recent graduate of
Liberty University. On Sundays you can find Luke on our stage leading
us to worship God in music. His love for worship is evident in his
Luke and his wife, Naomi are expecting their first child in July. They have a sweet puppy dog named Zoe.
Pastor of Assimilation
has been active in Nags Head Church since moving the OBX in 2009 to
become the Northeast NC Area Director for the Fellowship of Christian
Athletes. He is a 1991 graduate of Virginia Tech and received his
M.Div degree from Southeastern Seminary in 2002.
Scott is our pastor of assimilation, helping our regular attenders to connect and become partners in the church.
Scott has been involved in student ministry for 25 years, the past 20 with FCA. He's been involved in the G252 Student Ministries at NHC since 2010 serving students.
He's been married to Lori for 25 years and has two daughters, Chloe and Judy.
