MFuge camp

MFuge is a mission camp for students rising 6th-12th grades, June 23-27 at Ridgecrest Conference Center in Black Mountain, NC.  We have chartered a bus for transportation so that up to 45 students can attend MFuge.  So, yes, invite all of your friends!  We will leave the morning of June 23 and arrive back the evening of June 27.  $400 covers the cost of all camp expenses, but not spending money.  A $75 deposit is due by April 30 to register for this event.  There is financial assistance available for MFuge should it be needed to make this trip a reality for your family—use this form to apply.

Camp will consist of games, competition, fun, food, worship, learning about Jesus, and intentional time each day serving the community in missions—learning what our mission in Jesus is all about!  For NHC Students, MFuge is a first step in learning about and experiencing missions so that our group is equipped to participate in international missions at Camp Bahamas on future trips.

Students building relationships with other students and with caring adults.  Our student ministry is focused on helping students grow in their faith.  Each Sunday evening from 5 to 7:00 our students gather in The Loft for youth group.  Our students get together in small groups that are age and gender divided.  Each small group is led by a team of adult volunteers.  Our volunteers have all been through a background check before being allowed to serve our students and their parents.

Studies show that teenagers who have relationships with at least five caring adults in their church are more likely to continue on in their faith after high school. Our picture of success as a ministry is to watch a student graduate, go off to college or off to work in their career, plug into a local church wherever they may be, and serve and connect in that local church.

Our students are given opportunities to serve each week at Nags Head Church, equipping them to be ministers. We also are involved in international missions, local missions and have opportunities for our students to attend summer camp.

If you would like to know more about our student ministry or connect your middle or high schooler with our ministry please contact Ian, our family pastor, at 441-7548 or Ian@nagsheadchurch.org.
